Welcome to Equi Libre

Meet our horses and mules with which you will spend the next few days. We spend the night in ‘Villa El Largo’ after enjoying a nice dinner.

 

Day 1

We leave ‘Villa El Largo’ passing the incredible Alpujarra with picturesque villages and old roads. In the evening we return to ‘Villa El Largo’ where a dinner with typical, organic products of the area awaits us.

 

Day 2

We leave at 600 metres to go to a small old house in the middle of the Sierra Nevada National Park at an altitude of 2.000 metres. Here we spend the night as the shepherds used to sleep. Passing through unforgettable paths and landscapes such as the ancient chestnut tree.

Day 3 and 4

These days will be an open-ended adventure depending on where the cows graze, as they have around 9,000 hectares of pasture at their disposal. With the help of horses, mules and dogs and the expertise of the cowboy to locate and lead the cows to a high mountain corral in the forest. We spend the next two nights at a Buddhist retreat centre at an altitude of about 2,000 metres, where a hot shower and a delicious dinner await us. The yoga and meditation room can be used by anyone who wishes to do so. The nights at this altitude allow us to admire the stars and the Milky Way in all its splendour.

 

Day 5

We return to the village and the starting point of our trip, Villa El Largo, where we will have a small party with flamenco music, wine and good food to celebrate the work done and share our trekking experience.

 

This is a real life experience where the connection with the animals is fundamental to accomplish the important tasks of a good cowboy.
